Me and My Shadow is a free libre puzzle/platform game in which you try to reach the exit by solving puzzles. Spikes, moving blocks, fragile blocks and much more stand between you and the exit. Record your moves and let your shadow mimic them to reach blocks you couldn’t reach alone.

Me and My Shadow 0.5 RC2 has been released. You can find it on Sourceforge. This fixed a BIG BAD BUG of pushable blocks which affects V0.5 Beta and V0.5 RC. If everything goes well, The 0.5 final version will be released next weekend. TRANSLATORS: Please help us translate the game into other languages on Hosted Weblate!

Here I’d like to introduce some new features of Me and My Shadow 0.5 development version. In fact, some of them are already completed for many years. I think the most of them are stable enough, so maybe the 0.5 beta version will be available soon.

Port the website to Jekyll!

Since 2014 the develop of Me and My Shadow is essentially halted. In 2016 I forked the original repository at SourceForge to GitHub. But it is only a fork; nothing real new development happens. At around the same time oyvindln decided to port Me and My Shadow from SDL1.2 to SDL2. Two years later, in 2018, the porting is finally finished and is merged to master branch. (Thank you oyvindln!) After that I decided at least to maintain Me and My Shadow at a playable state. As the old website and wiki are unmaintained, I also fork the website to GitHub pages.

Me and My Shadow 0.4 released

Version 0.4 has been released after a few months of development. It brings a bunch of new features including collectables, an openGL renderer, resizeable window and translations. The game can now be played in Dutch, English, Finnish, German, Italian, Russian, Simplified and Traditional Chinese. There are new music tracks made by Juho-Petteri Yliuntinen and the Cloudscape theme underwent an update which brings a few graphical enchantments and a death animation.
